NOTICE OF HEARING

ON APPLICATION TO

TERMINATE PARENTAL

RIGHTS OF BIOLOGICAL

MOTHER AND

PUTATIVE FATHER



Notice is hereby given in the above captioned adoption to the Biological Mother, Baylee Renee Keen and unknown father of Elijah Ray Keen that a Petition has been filed by Laura Blossom for the adoption of Elijah Ray Keen, the minor child of Baylee Renee Keen, the natural mother, and the unknown Putative Father, and before the Court is an application to terminate parental rights of said child.



1. The minor child is a member of the Osage Nation.

2. The Osage Nation has a right to intervene and transfer to tribal courts; the natural parents are entitled to legal representation and will be provided with the same if they cannot afford legal representation.

3. The Osage Nation has the right to request an additional twenty (20) days from receipt of notice to prepare for the proceeding; further extensions of time may be granted with court approval;

4. As the natural parent(s) of the minor child at issue, if you fail to respond you could lose rights to your child; you have the right to an attorney.

5. All tribal official should keep this matter and information regarding this matter confidential.



The hearing on the application to terminate the parental rights will be held on the 2nd, day of November 2018 at 9:00 o'clock a.m. At the Cherokee County Courthouse, Tahlequah, Oklahoma.



At the hearing, your parental rights in regards this child may be terminated. The Court will explain the nature, purpose and effect of the proceedings. You have a right to be present and to have an attorney represent you, and to request the Court appoint a lawyer to represent you. You have the right to present evidence. YOUR FAILURE TO APPEAR AT SAID HEARING MAY RESULT IN THE TERMINATION OF YOUR PARENTAL RIGHTS AS CHILD IS AN INDIAN CHILD THE TRIBE HAVE THE RIGHT TO INTERVENE.
