To apply: Position Summary: The Physical Therapist is responsible for assuming care, managing and coordinating patient treatment as directed by the referring physician. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient intact this position requires. Essential Functions: The Physical Therapist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Completes initial evaluation and treatment of physical therapy patients Completes set up plan of care and goal for physical therapy after initial evaluation Documents physical therapy patients in accordance to the guidelines of the Rehab Department policies Supervises PTA and PT aide Manages and coordinates patient treatment as directed by the referring physician Accountability: Reports to the Director of Rehabilitation Required Physical Demands (Subject to Reasonable Accommodation): Keyboarding/Dexterity: Frequently; activity exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time Standing/Walking: Frequently; activity exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time Strength (Lift/Carry/Push/Pull): Heavy (Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects) Talking (Must be able to effectively communicate verbally): Yes Seeing: Yes Hearing: Yes Color Acuity (Must be able to distinguish and identify colors): Yes This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements. Environmental Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Qualifications: * Bachelors degree from program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association preferred * Current Oklahoma Physical Therapy license OR be eligible for license in the state of Oklahoma AND able to practice under the Oklahoma Physical Therapy Practice Act. Must have completed licensure by 6 months after initial temporary license is issued. (Must present letter/permit proving eligibility upon hire.) * CPR Certification * Experience in Physical Therapy preferred * Must be able to communicate effectively in English
