OPERATORS IN JASPER COUNTY
This is a reminder from the Joplin-Jasper County Local Emergency Planning Committee and the Missouri Emergency Response Commission (MERC).
Tier II Chemical Inventory Reports for the 2025 reporting year are due by March 1, 2026. If you need more information about how to comply with the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA), contact the Joplin-Jasper County LEPC at 1-417-624-0820 Ext. 1621, or the Missouri Emergency Response Commission at 800-780-1014.
PUBLIC NOTICE
The Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act of 1986 requires the Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) established under the law to publish information concerning emergency response plans, chemical lists, inventory forms, toxic release forms and follow-up emergency notices with regard to hazardous chemicals in the community.
Citizens residing in Jasper County can request information pertaining to hazardous materials at the office of Emergency Management, located at 303 East Third, Joplin. The phone number is 417-624-0820 Ext. 1621, Monday through Friday from 1:00-5:00 p.m.
